Tree of Life
The Tree of Life (Hebrew Etz haChayim) is the central diagram of the Jewish Kabbalah: 10 spheres (sephirot) connected by 22 paths, representing the structure of divine creation. Each sephirah has a name: Keter (crown), Chokmah (wisdom), Binah (understanding), Chesed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod, Yesod, Malkuth (kingdom).
Tarot correspondence
Eliphas Lévi (19th century) associated the 22 paths with the 22 Major Arcana of the tarot, establishing the modern hermetic correspondence used in Kabbalistic Tarot.
