Age of Aquarius
The Age of Aquarius is, in astrological tradition, the period of approximately 2,150 years during which the spring equinox sun is in the Aquarius constellation. Each "great age" corresponds to a precession movement of equinoxes. Western popular culture associates the Age of Aquarius with the New Age movement of the 1960s — popularized by the song "Aquarius" of the musical Hair (1967).
When does it begin?
Astronomical opinions vary: 1844, 1962, 2150, 2680, 2680 — there is no agreement, because the boundaries between constellations are imprecise. Many esoteric tradition currents place the start "now" (the present generation).
