Intuition
Intuition is the immediate apprehension of knowledge without conscious deliberate reasoning. Carl Jung classified it as one of the four basic psychological functions (alongside sensation, thought, feeling). In esoteric traditions, intuition is the most refined "psychic faculty" — channel for the unconscious or universal soul.
Intuition vs prejudice
The difference is in self-awareness: intuition emerges from accumulated experience and quickly synthesizes information; prejudice is shortcut without questioning. Modern psychology (Kahneman, Thinking Fast and Slow) studies the "System 1" intuitive.
