Medium
A medium is a person who supposedly serves as a channel of communication between the world of the living and the spirits of the dead, or other "spiritual" entities. Central in Spiritism (Kardec), African religions (Candomblé, Umbanda), and modern channeling (Jane Roberts/Seth, JZ Knight/Ramtha).
Mediumship types
- Clairvoyance — sees spirits.
- Clairaudience — hears spirits.
- Trance/incorporation — entity speaks through the body.
- Automatic writing — writes messages.
- Physical/effects — moves objects (rare today).
