Premonition
Premonition is the alleged paranormal experience of perceiving a future event before it happens, through dream, vivid feeling or sudden vision. Subcategory of precognition, classified by Rhine as psi faculty.
Famous cases
Anecdotal cases abound: premonitory dreams of the Titanic (1912), the death of Abraham Lincoln (1865, reported by his wife). Mainstream science explains: confirmation bias — we remember when we "hit" and forget the thousand times we got it wrong.
