Astral Projection
Astral projection is the alleged practice of consciously separating consciousness from the physical body, allowing the astral body to travel to distant places or other dimensions. Popularized by Robert Monroe (Journeys Out of the Body, 1971). Distinct from spontaneous out-of-body experience (OBE).
Method
Monroe-type techniques: deep relaxation, paradoxical sleep induction, mental vibration. Some practitioners claim success after years of training. Most never achieve verifiable results.
