Psychometry
Psychometry (Greek psyche, soul + metron, measure) is the alleged psychic ability to obtain information by touching an object — like the object retained traces of its owners' history. Term coined by Joseph Buchanan (1842). Used in fictional contexts (police investigations, "psychic detectives"); without scientific validation.
