Court Cards
The Court Cards (also called figure cards) are the four figured cards in each minor arcana suit of the tarot: Page, Knight, Queen, King — totaling 16 court cards in the 78-card deck. In Marseille tarot they are called Valet (Page), Cavalier (Knight), Reine (Queen), Roi (King). Often interpreted as people in the consultant's life or as aspects of personality.
Symbolic meaning
- Page — youthful energy, messenger, beginning.
- Knight — action, movement, quest.
- Queen — inner mastery, intuition, receptive.
- King — external mastery, authority, command.
