Ceromancy
Ceromancy (Greek kēros, wax) is divination by interpreting the shapes formed by melted wax — generally dropped into a bowl of water. Synonym of velomancy when read directly on the candle. Popular practice in Mediterranean Europe and Latin American folk magic.
Method
Light a candle, let melted wax drip into a bowl of cold water. The shapes that form (animals, letters, geometric figures) are interpreted as omens.
