Classical Elements
The four classical elements — fire, air, water, earth — are the symbolic categories that the Western tradition since Empedocles (5th century BC) uses to describe the composition of the world. Each has astrological correspondences (signs, planets), tarot (suits), psychological (temperaments) and spiritual.
