Libanomancy
Libanomancy (Latin libanos, frankincense) is divination by observing the smoke and ashes of frankincense burned ritually. Mediterranean and Middle Eastern ancient practice, used in temples of Babylon, Egypt and ancient Israel. Variant of capnomancy with sacred resin.
Reading
Straight rising smoke = divine approval. Heavy smoke or that descends = rejection. Aroma intensity, color of ashes, shape of residues = signs.
