Tephramancy
Tephramancy (Greek tephra, ash) is divination by interpreting the patterns and shapes of ashes left after burning of ritual offerings, paper, herbs or wood. Ancient practice related to pyromancy (fire) and capnomancy (smoke).
Method
Burn what is requested (paper with question, herbs, candle). Wait until fully cool. Read the patterns of remaining ash — figures, color, density.
