Molybdomancy
Molybdomancy (Greek molybdos, lead) is divination by pouring molten lead into cold water and interpreting the resulting shapes. Traditional Nordic and Germanic practice, popular on New Year's Eve in Finland (uudenvuoden tinat) and Germany (Bleigießen). EU banned commercial sale of lead alloys for this purpose in 2018 due to toxicity; tin replaced lead.
Modern method
Tin alloys melt at lower temperature, accessible for home use. Interpret figures: heart (love), key (new opportunity), boat (travel), ring (marriage), tree (growth).
